This week I spent a few moments getting to know another one of our Junior Sales Representatives, Tory Curran! Originally hailing from Concord, Massachusetts Tory has spanned state borders as a student at Fairfield University, down in Connecticut. Following in her brother’s footsteps, she has taken up Marketing as her major, looking to take the business world by storm. She is also a member of Fairfield’s Marketing Club, furthermore building upon her skill set. That’s part of the reason she joined us here at Lionbridge onDemand. With Marketing being such a wide-ranging subject, Tory was hoping to dabble in the world of sales and expand her communication skills, while boosting her experience and seeing what aspect of business she would like to concentrate on. And we’re certainly lucky to have her here as an essential part of our team!
After spending a semester abroad in the beautiful country of Italy, Tory is hoping to make it back there someday while exploring the rest of Europe–with her sights currently set on Belgium! Upon graduating Tory is looking to combine her love for marketing with her passion for cooking and potentially break out into the food magazine business, with hopes of living this dream out in Boston or Italy. Her interest in the food magazine world derives from religiously following Bon Appetit and Food & Wine Magazine’s Instagram accounts.
An avid runner, Tory has hit a personal record of twelve miles (wow!), hoping to soon successfully run her first half marathon. One day she’s also aspiring to race with the big dogs in a future Boston Marathon. When she’s not running, cooking, or traveling the world she has also spent time on mission trips, volunteering with elderly people. We’re beyond happy to have such a well-rounded, hardworking person on-board with us this summer. Who knows, maybe one day Tory will be running Lionbridge onDemand’s first Italian office.
