Lion in the Limelight: David Burakovsky

Posted by Sophia Barnhart

Here at the office, we like to call David “Wonderboy”. During our cold-calling competition, David took the initiative to score #1 in number of calls made out of all of onDemand’s sales reps. David made his first sale to a publishing company just a couple weeks into his time with us.

David reigns from Newton, MA and is a middle blocker on the club volleyball team at Brandeis. Majoring in Economics and Business, he is also actively involved in the Investment and Russian clubs at school. Before joining the onDemand sales team, David gained experience at a startup, assembling boxes for a grill store. He fondly remembers how he was never able to wash off the black on his hands from all of the charcoal he handled.

As a first-generation child of Russian immigrants, David consistently strives for success and always seeks to make his family proud. Up until breaking his collarbone in senior year of high school, David competitively danced in ballroom, latin, and standard styles. David speaks Russian at home, and also raves about his favorite Russian dish

He discovered Lionbridge at a Brandeis career fair, and after meeting Kali he scheduled an interview and the rest is history! David has been a positive and supportive presence among his team members, and appreciates the learning experience that cultivates friendly competition.

In the future, David sees himself staying in Boston, maybe working in either finance or consulting. During his free time, you’ll see David volleying around with friends or sporting stylish office attire, including a button-down hoodie and “combat” biker boots. We’re loving David’s spirit and fashion sense, and can’t wait to see his future unfold with us at Lionbridge onDemand!
