AC: Tell us about your role and position at Lionbridge onDemand?

JF: I am a content creation intern.  I write a lot of blogs and help out with social media marketing, and research from time to time.

AC: What about Lionbridge onDemand made you want to work here in the first place?

JF: I was looking for a job before moving back from Virginia, and I applied to this internship on a whim.  I had already graduated college, but after the first phone interview, the more I thought about it, the more I thought it was a good fit for me.  I’ve had experience with language barrier issues and I love learning and writing about language.  Here I get to combine my experiences and my love of writing!

AC: What is your proudest/ favorite memory at Lionbridge onDemand?

JF: My first blog, about what people say after someone sneezes, was published on my birthday.  It’s one of my favorite blogs written and it was such a great birthday present!  I also got a mug, a lion and some candy!

AC: Before working at Lionbridge, what other jobs did you have?

JF: I currently work part time at an after school program, where I worked in high-school and again for a bit after college.  I lived in Virginia for about 2 years where I worked as a bank teller. I’ve also worked as a summer camp counselor, substitute teacher, and a barista at Panera Bread.

AC: What are your long-term career goals and aspirations?

JF: I really love writing and blogging, but I’m not sure what I want to do with it yet.  Right now, I really love blogging about language, and I would love to continue blogging as a marketing tool.  I love editing and writing and I hope that I can keep exploring the options that involve those passions.

AC: What’s your claim to fame?

JF:  I’ve survived skydiving 2 times, and falling off a moving motorcycle.
